Projects

This started as an idea that coincided with a project my brother had started. A beautiful 2006 custom build Mustang. He had planned it to have an Eleanor look that would end up red with white stripes. So, I put my thinking cap on and decided to build one that was white with red stripes. As we built these we decided to make the mods the same soup to nuts. Here we go, a Saleen Super Charger, K&H cold air, 3915s injectiors, Lightning Mass Air, custom “under the hood” 1 gallon fuel tank for 110 octane fuel, yes this is for the twin bottle Nitrous system from NX we installed. The plate on the throttle body wasn’t even on the market yet. We recieved these before full production (somewhat as guinea pigs). To get that nitrous power to the ground we added the NX Progressor and FJO wide band for safety. A set of QA1 adjustments for the rear springs, lower control arms and a 4:10 gear makes these stangs move. Oh, they sound pretty mean with a set of long tube headers making them purr down the road. As I seem to have a really bad habit, I now own both Mustangs.

91 – The long time Fox body takes on a little personality with neon green stripes. This car was purchased off of Ebay and when she got here we knew right off the trailer that we were going to strip her to the ground. After getting the car on Tuesday we were racing it by Saturday and Sunday. We took the car apart the next Monday and after a quick 4 months she was looking and running pretty.

With a SB Ford 347, Canfield heads, good rods and pistons, a new 10 point roll cage and a little happy gas (150 shot), PA C4 2 a 410 gear with 31 spline axles, she runs a consistant 11.1 on motor and 10.30’s with a mild tune. It truly is a beautiful Fox body! The idea was to keep as much of the stock interior look as possible.

The newest project from Team Hurley and Image 1 Motorsports is the attempt to build the fastest 3V 4.6L 5/97 Mustang in the country. Many have claims as the fastest 5/97 Mustang but thats with a 351 or something. Here at Team Hurley/Image 1 Motorsports our goal was to build the 5/97 4.6L (281 cubic inches). Keeping the car street legal with air conditioning. Our constant goal of keeping the car as stock appearing on the inside as possible, we kept 100% of the interior with a few upgrades to the front seat (Sparco Evo2). We also installed a 10pt cage with a funny car conversion because the goal is to run in the high 8’s or really low 9’s. A couple twin 67mm turbos, a massive Logan intake, billet rods, CP pistons, a huge water cooler for the turbos and a whole check book later we should have it. This mean machine is almost finished and ready to break a few hearts. Stay tuned for updates and how we stack up against some of those other street legal Mustangs.

Black Challenger – This is a 2008 limited edition Challenger and our plans for this is to be our 13 sec True Street car with the ability to run low to mid 12’s. We’ll get this done with the help from Borla Exhaust a custom tune, bigger throttle body and a little happy juice through a mini progresser. Soon to come a nice set of 20 in wheels and a few more tricks. If you’re looking to speed up your daily driver then Image 1 Motorsports is the place for you. Give us a call and let us see what we can do for you.
